Changing the air filter is the best thing you can do for your furnace on a regular basis. Typically the furnace filter is changed during the annual inspection; however it should be changed on a monthly basis.

 

Regularly changing your furnace filter can increase the longevity of the unit, and can save 5-15% on your monthly bills. It is also best to keep the area around your furnace clean of clutter, debris, and dust. This allows your unit to run properly and avoid any potential future issues.
